Ilamai Oonjal Adukirathu (Tamil: இளமை ஊஞ்சல் ஆடுகிறது; English: Youth is swinging) is a Tamil film directed by C.V.Sridhar. It became a big hit, due to it's music. The director remade the film in Telugu as Vayasu Pilichindi (1978) with the same quartet of actors from the Tamil film: Rajnikanth, Kamal Hassan, Sripriya, and Jayachitra.[1]
The remake also became a big hit, so the director remade the film once again, this time in Hindi as Dil-E-Nadaan (1982), starring Rajesh Khanna, Shatrughan Sinha, Smita Patil, and Jayapradha and this also became a hit fetching 4.3 crores at the box office.

Murli (Rajnikanth) and Prabhu (Kamal) are owner and manager respectively, of an advertising agency in Madras. Prabhu has been raised by Murli's family, and feels greatly indebted to them. Prabhu is in love with Padma (Sripriya), but a misunderstanding leads them apart. In the meantime, Murli meets and falls in love with Padma.
The lyrics for the songs are written by Vaalee and music was composed by Ilaiyaraaja.
